"Eight To The Bar" - A Musical in Two Acts

CAST: 8 strong singers who can act:

SETS: regular cocktail bar in Act I, followed by the same bar, modernized, seven years later in Act II.
COSTUMES: Normal office/casual clothes for all characters except the bartender who is dressed as the star he has become in Act II.

Set in a New York bar, the characters are full of dreams and determination to fulfil them.
In Act Two the characters are seven years older and we see what life has dealt them...
The story pivots around the two bar-tenders who are both aspiring actors.

The musical is set in a New York cocktail bar. Two highly competitive bartenders, both trying to create the best cocktail - both trying to make it to Hollywood.

Dave tries to persuade Sally to move to Philadelphia with him, but it's hard to make Phili sound as good as New York.

Duet between Sue & Mandy when they meet 7 years later and compare their lives.

Robert, now a Star, opens in a Broadway show near the bar. His old friends read out his reviews and celebrate his success, but it's tinged with mixed emotions.
